BIRMINGHAM: Thousands expected to start a business in a day, StartUp 2017

Summary
Thousands of people, who want to become their own boss or brush-up of their business skills, are set to attend one of three nationwide start-up events on Saturday January 14.

StartUp 2017 Birmingham, in partnership with Birmingham City University, is the Midlands-based event run by small business support group Enterprise Nation.  It will deliver a big boost to ambitious would-be entrepreneurs in the city, at the same time as two other satellite events taking place in London’s Canary Wharf and in Bristol.

StartUp 2017 is a collaboration between Enterprise Nation and a collection of high profile sponsors.  These are Facebook, small business insurer Direct Line for Business, HSBC, domain name firm 123 Reg, Microsoft and internet technology business Verisign. Leading UK professional services firm KPMG is the headline sponsor of the events.
The day will also offer the chance to speak face-to-face with a business adviser.
