Unconvention Event 10th February 2017

Summary

This “Unconvention” event is free to attend and is being hosted by the Beacon Centre for the Blind. The attendees will be a mixture of public sector (NHS, Council etc) commissioners and providers and third and social enterprise sector providers.

Mutual Ventures are delivering the event in partnership with a number of social enterprises and public service mutuals as well as with other partners such as Social Enterprise UK. Mutual Ventures are a specialist advisory firm who support the creation of new and innovative models across public services. Increasingly, this is in response to the challenges of devolution and integration.

The Unconvention will be centred on a number of presentations and discussions and will seek to answer the following questions:
  • How is devolution driving public service reform (including health, social care and children’s services)? Including real case studies from around England.
  • What can we learn from the use of new delivery models to date?
  • What support is available from central government to support new delivery models?
  • What new financing models are available? What can we learn from the use of Social Investment Bonds so far?
  • How can VCSE organisations respond to the changing commissioning landscape?
The draft agenda for the event is attached and there is a link to the eventbrite below. Please also feel free to pass this onto any colleagues who may also be interested to attend.
