The benefits that digital innovations can deliver are becoming clearer, but uptake is still not widespread. There are more and more examples of citizens, patients and carers using them to support independent living, stay healthy or manage their conditions. Some commissioners and providers of health and social care have begun to use digital solutions to drive down cost and improve quality and safety, but others have yet to exploit these opportunities.
Using consistent, reliable information to reach a wide-ranging audience, we want to combine different media and communication approaches combining:
- Online videos, audio blogs and written articles
- Events and conferences
- Linking new and existing web sites to create an ‘online ecosystem’ of rich information
- Social media to enable different groups and individuals to connect with each other
Content can range from:
- showcasing apps and tools,
- sharing success stories from people and organisations
- connecting consumers, commissioners and developers
- advice on how to make sure benefits are fully realised
Building on our existing base of stakeholders, the main participants and beneficiaries will be:
- Citizens, patients and carers
- Local Authority and NHS commissioners
- Care providers from NHS, Local Authorities, private providers and 3rd sector organisations
- Digital developers
If you have a comprehensive approach that will deliver a real increase in the development, commissioning and use of digital innovations, we want to hear from you.
